Hi and welcome fellow therapists – I am seeking to build a team to help meet the demand for in-person therapy appointments in our local area.
I’ve been in private practice for the last 7 years after stepping away from the NHS due to burnout. This has allowed me to continue doing the work that I love doing, but in a way that is sustainable to me, where I can pursue my own specialisms and deliver therapy that can flexibly address clients’ needs.
Recently, Dr Lauren Turnbull has joined Spring and will be providing psychological assessment and treatment for people suffering with long-term health conditions and chronic pain. She is such a welcome addition, not just because she’s a wonderful human being, but because she’s meeting a real and genuine need in our community.
Last year the wait times for my own caseload were the highest they’d ever been – as private specialists are filling a critical gap in care. Whether you have a similar specialism to myself, or offer something different – I would love to hear from you.
I am so excited about building a team – where peer support is available and we are working together to offer a service that is unique and much needed. This is an opportunity to continue meaningful work, with space to pursue specialisms, on a schedule that works for you.
I have private and fully furnished therapy rooms in a fantastic location in the heart of Knutsford, Cheshire. You may already be experienced in private practice, but if you are new to this – I can also offer business support and guidance, having already navigated the path you’re on.
Everything you need to thrive in Private Practice
A Proven Infrastructure
Benefit from the knowledge and experience I’ve built over the last seven years so you don’t have to learn from scratch. Including how to work with referral agencies and insurers (AXA, Bupa, Aviva, Vitality and others), advice on fee setting, marketing, scheduling and building a caseload.
True Flexibility
I know that many therapists truly value their NHS commitment. Becoming an associate gives you the option of working with private clients part-time while you continue your NHS role. Private Practice also means more control over the amount of clients you take on so that it works in a way that’s sustainable for you.
Connection and Community
Work alongside other experienced therapists, in a supportive environment, delivering excellent mental health care to the local community. Peer support and clinical supervision will be available, potential for collaborations, groups and workshops – and the chance to be part of a growing practice to be proud of.
Who I’m looking for
I am deliberately seeking to build a practice of specialists. This means a high bar, for the benefit of our clients and to continue being a trusted practice within the community.
Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience
Specialist area of expertise
Active Supervision and CPD
Full registration and Accreditation
